February is often thought of as the month of love because of Valentine’s Day and as lovely as that is to celebrate love for each other, we believe self love should be everyone’s top priority because in the words of Ru Paul, If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell are you gonna love someone else?

So what does self love mean?
Self love is unique to each individual but generally meaning treating yourself with kindness and making time to do the things that make you happy and feel restored, whatever that means to you.
When we don’t give ourselves enough self love or me time we can feel over whelmed, irritable, frustrated and unbalanced which inevitably affects other aspects in your life such as work, relationships and our mental health.
Although life can be challenging and often people say they don’t have time for themselves, there is always a little moment in the day that we can all spare. Here are some ideas that you can try at home if you’re feeling like you need to have some time out:
- Have a relaxing bubble bath
- Go for a walk
- Meditate
- Give yourself a home pamper session
- Cook your favourite meal
- Declutter a space
- Do a workout
- Pick up the phone and speak to a friend
- Get an early night
- Read a book
