LED light therapy has been used for many years but is now getting more and more popular in the beauty industry to treat and rejuvenate skin.
So what is LED light therapy?
LED stands for light-emitting diode and this type of light has been used since the 60s. The treatment uses varying wavelengths of light to trigger the skin’s natural healing processes to repair the skin. LED light therapy uses different colour lights to help treat different skin conditions.
The blue light is great for acne and oily skin as it is anti bacterial, helps to reduce production of sebum (excess oil) and reduces inflammation within the skin.
The red light helps to boost collagen and elastin production so is great for anti-aging, improves skin texture, restores optimum cell function and increases natural hydration.
Near infrared light accelerates wound healing, reduces pigmentation, anti inflammatory and calms redness and irritation.
A course of treatment is recommended to see a difference in your skin and give you the best results. Please speak to your Therapist to discuss the right course for your skin.
So if you’ve been suffering from a skin condition such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea or just general aging concerns, LED light therapy will help!
